Our Wind Bracing Kit adds strength and rigidity to your Tunnel — allowing it to withstand stronger winds.
Wind Bracing should be installed at roughly 45° angles between the bottom of the third bow and about 4’ high on the end bow (see photo).

The quantity of each item listed will vary depending on the selected bow spacing and diameter of your tunnel.
Notes:
The 1 ⅜” band clamps fit our 14-ft and 16-ft wide Caterpillar and Haven Tunnels.
The 1 ⅝” band clamps fit our Caterpillar Tunnel Max and Guardian Tunnels.

Great Service, great products!

First, like other Farmers Friend orders, this one arrived quickly, and complete (even a few extra nuts and bolts which is appreciated). Second, our tunnel is a little over 3 years old so our cross bars are the same as these wind braces. We upgraded our tunnel to have a cross bar on every hoop like the newer tunnels. Our tunnel survived hurricane Helene here in the eastern Tennessee mountains but extra bracing for future weather events seemed a wise choice.

We have a 100’ gothic pro tunnel with the standard wind bracing on each end. It has survived hurricane Helene and more. We bought additional wind bracing for the middle spans of this tunnel to give us more peace of mind in the high winds we have been experiencing lately. It does not seam to be “racking” near as much now.

We added cross bracing to every bow on our tunnel and so thankful Farmer’s Friend had a note on the page that if we purchased it before a certain date we should get the 5’ wind bracing instead. Worked great. Love their attention to detail on things like that. I’ve really enjoyed the ability to continually modify the tunnel as needed with the spare parts available and free shipping. Thank you!!
