Can I use two layers of plastic and a blower on your caterpillar tunnel?

No — the caterpillar tunnel isn't built for inflation. A double-layer system needs the poly locked into channel on both sides and both ends so the air pocket stays sealed, and it needs a frame anchored to take the extra load. The caterpillar tunnel holds its single layer with rope tensioned over the bows, which is what keeps it lightweight, affordable, and movable. There's no continuous seal to hold air, so a blower would just push air out the edges without ever inflating the layers.

The Double Layer Inflation Kit is available for Haven and Guardian tunnels in lengths from 24 to 120 feet, and it includes everything you need: the blower, mounting bracket and deflector, inflation hoses, couplers, spring wire, greenhouse repair tape, insect screen adapter, and a new roll of clear plastic for the second layer (more transparent than our standard poly, so you keep light levels up with two layers).
