Returns & Exchanges
At Farmers Friend, we're committed to your satisfaction and making it easy to shop for the farming tools and supplies you need. If you're not completely happy with your purchase, we're here to help with returns or exchanges within the guidelines below.
This policy is effective as of December 15, 2025, and supersedes any prior versions.
Return Window
- You have 90 days from the delivery date to initiate a return or exchange.
- Proof of purchase (e.g., order number or receipt) is required for all requests.
Eligible Items and Conditions
- All products are eligible for return or exchange, except for Caterpillar and High Tunnels (see below for more details).
- Items must be unused, in their original packaging, and include all accessories, tags, manuals, and components.
- We reserve the right to inspect returned items and may deny requests if conditions are not met.
Refunds
- Full refund to your original payment method for eligible returns.
- Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days after we receive and inspect the item.
- No restocking fee for most returns; a 10% restocking fee applies only if the original packaging is damaged (but the item is otherwise eligible).
Exchanges
- Exchanges are available at your choice instead of a refund.
- If the exchange is due to a defect or our error, we'll cover the shipping costs for the replacement item.
- For other exchanges, you pay the shipping costs for the return.
- If the desired exchange item is unavailable, we'll issue a full refund.
Shipping Costs for Returns
- You are responsible for return shipping costs, unless the item is defective or we made an error (in which case, we'll cover it).
- In some cases, we may offer a prepaid return shipping label option—simply request it during the return process, and the label cost will be deducted from your refund.
Order Cancellations and Changes for non-Tunnel Products
- Cancellations are free if requested before the order ships.
- After shipping, cancellations are treated as returns and subject to the full policy.
Order Cancellations and Changes for Caterpillar Tunnels and High Tunnels
- These items are non-returnable and non-refundable after they have left our facility.
- A $200 restocking/change fee applies for any changes or cancellations made after the time of checkout.
- No exchanges are available.
How to Initiate a Return or Exchange
- Contact us via email support@farmersfriend.com or by phone 931-583-0397 to initiate a return or exchange.
- Provide your order details, reason for return/exchange, and photos if applicable (e.g., for defects, damage, etc).
- We'll issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and instructions within 1-2 business days.
- Pack the item securely in its original packaging and ship it back using your preferred carrier (or our prepaid label).
- Once received, we'll inspect and process your refund or exchange promptly.

- This policy does not affect your statutory rights under applicable consumer laws.
- We may update this policy at any time; changes will be posted here.
