Weed suppression made simple.
Nip weeds in the bud. Literally.
Our 5‑mil, UV-treated polyethylene tarps create a stale seedbed in as little as 3 weeks!
Here’s how it works:
- The black tarp creates a warm, moist environment which quickly kills established weeds and encourages rapid weed seed germination.
- The newly emerged weeds then face a dark, suffocating environment in which they quickly die.
- Worms and other beneficial organisms soon appear to decompose any organic matter and loosen the soil.
- In three to four weeks (up to six weeks in winter) you will have an almost completely composted and beautiful stale seedbed!
It’s the closest thing yet to “easy gardening”!

Kin & Flo Farm - Silage Tarps (40x105 and 50x150)
3 out of 5 stars
The order, shipment, and delivery (packaging) of the tarps was easy, seamless, and quick. The Silage Tarps are the perfect size, work well for weed suppression and termination; and when secured properly, can withstand high winds and heavy rain. However, the material the Silage Tarps are made from is thinner than the industry standard and thus isn't quite as durable and prone to tearing.

Silage tarp
3 out of 5 stars
I cannot relay any information about weed control as I just laid tarp on garden. I will critique the quality. A few leftover twigs from last years produce quickly poked through the material as I was laying it down. This was disappointing! The tarp itself is thinner than I thought it would or should be, so quality is lacking. The size was true to description. In my opinion, a lot of money for a product that isn’t very durable.

Easy to use silage tarp
5 out of 5 stars
I purchased a large silage tarp and ended up cutting it into 3 pieces to cover a large portion of our future garden spot. It came folded in such a way that it was easy to maneuver and spread.

All three coverings, plant fabric, silage tarp, and ground cover and pens are a 5 star rating. I live on a ridge near the Shenandoah park. We have high winds where everything takes a beating. These products are as tough as they come, plus the service is excellent. 5 ⭐️s all the way

Seems to be working. Been about 3 weeks since placing, I've noticed weed seed germination, now let's make the heat from the sun finish the job.
