Greens bubbler upgrade
4 out of 5 stars
Overall, I'm happy with my new drain system. It drains quickly and is easy to use. I also really appreciate how user-friendly the directions are with every piece of equipment I've purchased.
My only critique about the drain is that it's tough to make it compatible with the Rubbermaid 100 gallon stock tank. The tank I have has a lot of ridges on the bottom, so after I drilled my initial holes I realized that I had to cut out the ridges on the bottom of the tank in order for the valve to sit flush with the tank. Thankfully, I have the tool for that: DeWalt multi tool. However, if I didn't have that tool on hand, the drain valve would have not worked with my stock tank. I definitely had a panic moment. I understand the drain valve is supposed to go with the whole Farmer's Friend greens bubbler system. I wanted to give a heads up that if you buy this piece out of context that it may require some additional "farmer hacking" in order to make it work. Or just check the bottom of your existing tank before you start drilling (lol)!
Also, I've created a discharge pipe to connect to the valve because my wash/pack is in my garage and I can't dump water onto the floor. You can purchase a 3" to 1.5" PVC adapter to create a hose system to redirect the water.
