I almost gave up gardening until I found Farmers Friend. I now have all sizes of their Quick-Plant Fabric and love every one... The fabric is heavy with 3-in holes that don't fray. Love this Fabric."
Why you need Quick-Plant Fabric:
Reduce weed pressure by 90%
Super smooth hole edges
Massive time saver
Multiple pattern options
UV stabilized for 5-10 seasons of use
Increases soil moisture retention

Time Savings
Let us do the dirty work
No more building jigs. No more hot propane torches. Just 12 to 525 blissful feet of professional grade landscape fabric with ultra-smooth, pre-burned holes that will save you hours of precious time in the garden.
If burning hundreds (or thousands!) of perfectly-spaced holes in plastic mulch is your favorite task of the season, then this landscape fabric probably isn’t for you…
On the other hand, if you’d rather save hours of tedious labor and get back to actually growing food, then we think you’ll love Quick-Plant Fabric!

Less work. More profits.
Weeding doesn’t earn you a penny. The less time you spend doing it, the more profitable your farm becomes.
Quick-Plant Fabric is an effective tool to decrease weed pressure throughout the season, all while increasing water retention in the soil.
While you may need to do some light hand weeding around the perimeter of the plant once or twice while it’s small, Quick-Plant Fabric will essentially put your growing bed on autopilot for the rest of the season. Talk about revolutionary!

5 out of 5 stars
The Quick plant fabric is a game changer on the farm! Trying to burn your own holes in fabric is always a pain and it never turns out right. Having the pre cut holes are perfect for all my summer crops at 18 inch spacings and I save a ton of time by never having to pull weeds again!
Cleaner, smoother edges
A little less blood, sweat, & tears
If you’ve ever planted into landscape fabric with DIY burned holes (image on left), you know how gnarly those edges can be — and what your hands look like in the aftermath. Not pretty. Thanks to our innovative burner design, you’ll end up with far less damage to your hands and a much more pleasant planting (or weeding) experience! This small improvement is a big deal!
So, even if burning holes in landscape fabric IS your favorite farm task of the year (more power to you), your hands will be glad you chose to let us burn them for you!
July 2024 Update: Quick-Plant Fabric holes are now smoother than ever thanks to our new burning technology! Experience the difference for yourself!

Material Details
We’ve got you covered.
Our Quick-Plant Fabric consists of 3.2 oz. polypropylene, which resists tearing, puncturing and weed penetration. It is striped every 12 inches to aid in plant alignment and is UV-stabilized to last for many years even in direct sunlight.

We saved so much time and money utilizing the Quick Plant Fabric from Farmers Friend. Reduced our bed prep task by hours. I would highly recommend using this product.
Durability
Slight fraying? No fretting!
If you like the smoothness of the holes in our old fabric, you're going to love the super smooth holes in this new Quick-Plant Fabric! The only potential downside to these super smooth holes is that after multiple uses, the edges around the holes can start to slightly fray.
The image to the right shows what the holes may look like after approximately 5 seasons of use. The integrity of the holes remain uncompromised and the fraying will not extend beyond the "corners" of the circle. You can still expect to get 5-10 seasons of use before the fabric succumbs to UV rays.

Exactly what we needed!
5 out of 5 stars
The holes are aligned perfectly, shipping was quick and 500 stakes set us up pretty well. With a hot knife we cut the 300 footers down to 100 and rolled them out. It’s the first year having this, but it looks and feels like we will be able to get four or five years out of it. The creeping Jenny is finding the light, but we’re able to pop those out pretty easily. Also, we’re going to have to leave the tarp down year round, which may be a mistake, but we have so many stakes in it. We don’t want to leave any stakes behind or rip the tarp any more than we have to. We called a couple of times and the phone answerers were very helpful and pleasantly answered questions that they’ve probably heard many, many times.
Easy

Easy to use. Easy to cut to the proper length and easy to hold down. Wind is not a worry and our peppers easily transplanted and took off in a hurry. The increase in soil temperature under the fabric is a great benefit as well.
