How to Use Biochar
Biochar works best when it’s blended into the soil and pre-loaded with nutrients before application.

• Charge the biochar first: Mix biochar with compost, worm castings, manure, or liquid nutrients and let it sit for 3-4 weeks. This prevents biochar from temporarily tying up nutrients.
• Application rate: Apply at 10-50% by volume. 
  
• Best uses: Ideal for garden beds, high tunnels, raised beds, field, and compost blends.
  
• Long-term benefits: Biochar is not a quick fix — it improves soil performance year after year as it builds biological activity.
