Product options

Use this attachment on a jackhammer to drive your ground posts with ease. Jackhammers can be easily rented from most equipment rental companies. When compared to the use of a mallet, jackhammers make the task of driving in ground posts quicker, easier, and they also help to drive the posts in straighter saving you not only time, but effort as well.

Note: Jackhammer must have an SDS Max Chuck

When I purchased my Haven high tunnel I searched the site and all the literature for a parts list. When I put the tunnel in my cart the post pounder for a jackhammer was suggested. I purchased it, unboxed it and used it upside down to pound in the ground posts manually as they are driven in simply with a 9 pound hammer. Then upon opening the next box found a manual post pounder was included with the kit.

I bought this with the 96’ greenhouse and it did the job with no problems. It fits perfectly in a SDS-MAX jackhammer. I would highly recommend this to save time.

Broke after setting 10 posts

So far everything about the high tunnel kit has been excellent quality but the post driver bit snapped after driving 10 posts. Don’t waste your money on this tool. Get a 2” t-post driver bit instead. It will fit nicely over the manual post driver tool that comes with the kit and cost half the price of this tool.

Worked great until it broke.

It worked great for about 7 posts and then broke where the chuck met the hammer portion. Both of my sledge hammer drivers broke in a similar fashion.
