0:12Rose Creek Farms, we're about one acre. We grow a lot of lettuce, mixed greens, we do

0:19a lot of baby root crops, you know, the radishes, carrots, beets. A lot of the bunching greens; kale, collards, chard, anything that will go in a salad!

0:31It was about our fifth year of farming. We were doing just thousands of chickens and all the just pigs, and just animals, two acres of vegetables. And things were

0:41just going wide open. My wife took our daughter to the doctor came back and she was like, our daughter has stage four cancer, and it completely changed our life.

0:54I had to really take a hard look at what we were doing, and why. We went from two acres to just one acre, got rid of all the animals,

1:04and we went to just an eight hour day. and we're very strict about it. Things shifted drastically, not only were we more profitable,

1:13but we had more time. We built our farm and our life to give us time to be together as a family,

1:21which is, that's what it's all about!

1:26My daughter who is 10 now, fixing to be 11, and she's healthy, alive, completely

1:32cancer-free, and when I see the the change of the farm, I go, it was because of her that led to this change, and it's beautiful and I just thank God every single day for the gift.

1:51One of the most transitable tools that we got with our transition was the Greens Harvester. You know, we used to harvest greens with a knife,

2:00and once we got that tool, it was... it was game over.

2:06Instead of harvesting, you know, ten pounds an hour, we can now harvest hundreds

2:11And so it changed the game by enabling us to offer large quantities of mixed greens

2:20at a competitive price. And that has allowed us to enter into markets that before we weren't able to even think about entering into.

2:31My family inspires me. You know, they're the ones that inspire me to get up every day and do what I do. Before I was on tractors and so I was always cautious of

2:41my little ones, now they can be with me. And even if they're trampling through the lettuce, I just like the freedom that it gives my family to kind of be around.

2:56Nothing is more exciting to me than to see farmers doing well, growing good produce,

3:04feeding their families, feeding their communities, and making the earth a better place than the way they found it.

3:14At the end of the day I have a complete sense of gratitude for, you know, what we have, what we've been given,

3:22the responsibilities that we have, what we get the see and experience... I just have a complete overall sense of just gratitude.
