Hedge Family Farm

Hedge Family Farm is a 1.5 acre market garden, we grow a diverse variety of fruits and vegetables chemical-free and are Certified Naturally Grown. Creating the farm was built on the dream to support our family with year-round nutritional food, free from chemicals, questions, and corporations. In doing so, we have generated a beautiful supportive community who also care deeply about the quality, and local food. Our farm is nestled in Happy Valley, NC. We offer local CSA options, attend the Hickory Farmers Market, and work with many regional chefs seeking superior quality and special ingredients.

We are seriously passionate about building rich organic soil, fostering the diverse ecosystem of South Central Appalachia, and understanding the sustainability of small-scale regenerative food systems. So we have begun planting a forest; as of Jan 2024 we have planted over 4,000 native hardwoods, flowering native trees, fruit and nut trees, berry bushes and briar patches.
