A 30-ft high tunnel is a serious investment but you shouldn't need to hire a construction crew to put one up. The Defender ships with a full color detailed print manual and step-by-step video walkthrough. The instructions are clear enough that an ambitious first-time crew of two, or better yet, three or four can tackle the set up with confidence.

Available in September, the Sliding Door End Wall is our premium option: a galvanized square-tubing frame with rigid polycarbonate panels and an 8-ft sliding barn door, with nothing to source or improvise. No wind-swung doors, no snow to clear before opening, and it glides open as wide as you need.

The Defender's bows are formed from 13-gauge steel — the lower the gauge number, the thicker the steel, and 13 is about as thick as it gets. And if a storm ever does get the better of your tunnel, our 10-year storm damage warranty has you covered. Our claims team walks you through the process one-on-one, and approved claims get 50% off replacement parts plus free shipping (parts, not labor or lost crops). A bad storm shouldn't cost you your season or your budget.

Yes two DIY End Wall Kits (one for each end) are recommended with every Defender.
DIY End Wall Kits come in three options: standard plastic, standard plastic + zipper door, and hardware only.
- Standard plastic — Comes with all the hardware and standard 6-mil, 4 year greenhouse plastic needed to cover your end wall opening; you source lumber and a door locally.
- Standard plastic + zipper door — adds a 7-ft x 7-ft woven plastic double zipper door panel; you source lumber locally.
- Hardware only — includes all mounting hardware; you source lumber, plastic, and a door locally.
You also have the option to purchase your Defender without end walls.
Coming in September: the Sliding Door End Wall — a galvanized square-tubing frame with polycarbonate panels and an 8-ft sliding barn door. No wind-swung doors, no snow to clear before opening, and it slides open as wide as you need.
A minimum of 2 people is required — driving ground posts, lifting bow assemblies onto the posts, and pulling the roof plastic over all need a second set of hands, and even the measuring and squaring steps go faster with a helper holding the tape measure.
The kit includes your ground post driver, magnetic driver bit, and other build-specific hardware. You'll still want to have a drill (an impact driver makes the self-tapping screws much easier), a saw for cutting channel, a couple of tape measures — one long enough to run the full length and diagonal of your tunnel — a level, a utility knife, wire cutters, and a couple of ladders. Driving 30+ ground posts by hand is doable, but a gas-powered post driver makes the job considerably faster and easier on your back, especially on a longer tunnel. These typically rent for [around $80/day] from most equipment rental counters.
Every Defender comes with a 10-year storm damage warranty covering the tunnel's steel and components (labor and crop loss aren't included). If a storm damages your tunnel, approved claims get 50% off replacement parts and free shipping, plus one-on-one help from our claims team through the whole process — so a bad storm doesn't wreck your budget along with your tunnel. The warranty stays with the original owner and isn't transferable if you sell the tunnel.
The Defender ships freight via a flatbed semi trailer. Unloading requires a minimum of 2 people, or a forklift.
